How to Add EU Responsible Person Info to Amazon

If you sell on Amazon's European marketplaces as a non-EU seller, you need an EU Responsible Person under GPSR. Once you have your RP details, you need to add them in two places: your Amazon Seller Central account and your product labels.

This guide walks you through both.

What information do you need?

Before you start, make sure you have the following from your EU Responsible Person:

  • Full name or company name of the RP
  • Full EU address
  • Email address or contact details

EUResponsible provides all of this after your products are approved and onboarding is complete.

Step 1: Add RP info to Amazon Seller Central

Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account and go to the relevant marketplace (for example, Amazon.de for Germany).

Navigate to Inventory, then Manage All Inventory. Find the product you want to update and click Edit.

Go to the Compliance tab. You will find a field for Responsible Person information. Enter the name, address, and contact details of your EU Responsible Person.

Save the changes and repeat for each ASIN that requires RP information.

Note: The Compliance tab may look slightly different depending on the product category. Some categories have dedicated compliance sections while others show a more general responsible party field.

Step 2: Add RP info to your product label

Under GPSR, the Responsible Person's name and address must appear physically on the product, its packaging, or an accompanying document such as a manual or insert card.

For most Amazon sellers, the easiest solution is to add the RP details to the product label or to a small insert card included in the packaging.

The information needs to be legible and in a permanent format. A sticker applied to the packaging is acceptable as long as it is durable and not easily removable.

For clothing and textile products, the RP details can appear on a sewn-in label.

What if I have existing inventory?

If you have stock already in Amazon FBA warehouses, you have a few options. You can apply sticker labels to existing units, use Amazon's labelling service for FBA inventory, or wait until existing stock sells through and update new production runs.

For new production, update your packaging or label files before your next manufacturing order.

How many ASINs do I need to update?

Every ASIN you sell on EU marketplaces that falls under GPSR needs RP information in Seller Central. If you sell the same product on multiple EU marketplaces, you need to update each marketplace separately.

After adding your RP details

Once your RP information is live in Seller Central and on your labels, keep a record of when the changes were made. If an authority or Amazon ever requests confirmation of compliance, having a clear timeline helps.
